Terms of use
These terms are the agreement between you and Neatifai LLC, which makes Stewbot. They cover the Stewbot app for iPhone and iPad, Stewbot Plus, and this website. By signing in to Stewbot or using it, you agree to them and to the privacy policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Stewbot.
The short version
- Stewbot is for your own cooking: a private cookbook for personal use, not for publishing or selling recipes. You’re responsible for what you save.
- Stewbot’s AI can make mistakes. Check amounts, times and temperatures, cook to safe temperatures with a thermometer, and check labels for allergies yourself.
- Stewbot Plus is $4.99 a month after a 7-day free trial, through the App Store. It renews each month until you cancel, at least 24 hours before it renews, in your device’s Settings.
- Copyright complaints go to our copyright agent, and accounts that keep infringing are closed.
- Stewbot comes as it is, and Neatifai’s liability is limited. Illinois law applies.
The short version helps you read the terms. The full terms below are what count.
Who can use Stewbot
You must be at least 13 years old. If you’re under 18, you need a parent’s or guardian’s permission: they agree to these terms for you, and they’re responsible for what you buy. Stewbot is offered in the United States.
Each account is for one person. Keep your sign-in to yourself, and tell us at support@stewbot.app if you think someone else is using your account.
Your cookbook
What you put in Stewbot is yours: your recipes, your notes and your meals. You let Neatifai store, copy, process and send it only as needed to run Stewbot for you, including through the companies the privacy policy names. That permission ends when you delete it or your account, except for copies in backups, which expire on their own.
Stewbot is for your personal, noncommercial use. Save only what you have the right to save, follow the terms of the sites you read recipes on, and don’t use Stewbot to copy recipes for publishing, selling or sharing. You’re responsible for what you save.
Recipes from other sites
Recipes on the web belong to the people and sites that publish them. When you save one, Stewbot keeps a private copy of the recipe as written, for you alone, with its site’s name and a link to the original. It keeps just the name and link for pages written for subscribers, and for sites that have asked it to. If a site asks later, the recipes you saved from it become just their names and links, and your notes stay. How Stewbot treats recipes explains more.
AI help
When you allow it, Stewbot uses AI from Anthropic (Claude) to break recipes down, write heads-ups, answer your questions, make up recipes and plan dishes cooked together, and from ElevenLabs for its own voice. AI can make mistakes. Stewbot checks each breakdown against the recipe it came from, but its version can still differ from the original: check anything that matters, like amounts, times and temperatures, against the original recipe.
Stewbot’s answers are general cooking help. They aren’t medical, nutrition, allergy or safety advice, and Stewbot doesn’t know what’s in the food you buy.
Cooking safely
You’re in charge of your kitchen. Stewbot shows food-safety notes, but you’re responsible for what you cook and serve.
- Cook meat, poultry, fish, eggs and leftovers to their safe temperatures, and check them with a food thermometer. Stewbot never says whether food is cooked from a photo.
- If you or anyone you cook for has a food allergy, read every label and ingredient yourself. Stewbot can leave things out of an idea you ask for, but it can’t know what’s in your products or your kitchen.
- Take care with knives, heat, hot oil and anything else that can hurt you.
- Timers are a help, not a promise. They can’t ring on a device that’s off or out of power, so keep an eye on what’s cooking.
- Don’t rely on Stewbot for home canning or preserving. Follow a tested method from a trusted source.
Stewbot Plus
- The free plan includes a few recipes broken down, ideas and questions each month, within limits the app shows. Saving links, typing recipes in and cooking from them have no limit.
- Stewbot Plus adds cooking two or three dishes together, Stewbot’s own voice, and higher limits, which the app shows. It’s $4.99 a month in US dollars, plus any tax, after a 7-day free trial. Apple decides who can have the trial: each Apple Account can have it once.
- Buying and billing. Stewbot Plus is bought in the app through the App Store, and billed by Apple to your Apple Account under Apple’s terms for purchases. Neatifai never sees your payment details.
- Renewing. It renews automatically each month, at the price then, until you cancel. A free trial becomes a paid subscription when it ends, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before.
- Cancelling. Cancel at least 24 hours before it renews, in your device’s Settings, your name, Subscriptions, or from Your plan in Stewbot’s Settings. Stewbot Plus then lasts to the end of the month you’ve paid for. Deleting your Stewbot account doesn’t cancel it.
- Refunds are Apple’s to give, under its refund policy. Ask Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Price changes. If the price goes up, Apple tells you before it applies to you, and asks for your OK when its rules require it, so you can cancel first.
- Limits keep Stewbot affordable to run. Monthly limits start again on the 1st of each month, and daily ones each day, at midnight UTC. If Stewbot’s AI costs on a day run far past normal, the free plan’s AI help may pause until the next day. If we change Stewbot Plus in a way that takes something away from it, we’ll tell you in the app at least 30 days before.
- Restoring. Restore purchases moves Stewbot Plus to the Stewbot account you’re signed in to.
- When Stewbot Plus ends, the free plan’s limits apply, and nothing you saved is lost.
Using Stewbot fairly
Don’t use Stewbot to:
- break the law, or anyone else’s rights, such as copyright;
- try to get into other people’s accounts or cookbooks;
- probe, overload, scrape or attack Stewbot, or get around its limits, with automated tools, many accounts or anything else;
- make Stewbot’s AI produce anything harmful, or use it in ways Anthropic’s usage policy forbids;
- copy, resell or rebuild Stewbot, or its own words, such as its cooking words and tips.
We may pause or close an account that breaks these terms, or that puts Stewbot or other people at risk. Write to support@stewbot.app and we’ll tell you why, unless the law or safety stops us.
Copyright complaints
We respect copyright, and expect the people who use Stewbot to do the same. If you believe something in Stewbot infringes your copyright, send a notice to our copyright agent under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). It needs:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- the copyrighted work you believe is infringed;
- what you believe infringes it, with enough detail for us to find it, such as the recipe’s link;
- your name, address, phone number and email address;
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use isn’t authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you’re the copyright owner or authorized to act for the owner.

Cookbooks are private, so a site that would rather Stewbot kept just links to its recipes doesn’t need a DMCA notice: it can ask, and Stewbot will.
Counter-notices
If something of yours was removed because of a notice, and you believe that was a mistake, you can send our copyright agent a counter-notice. It needs your physical or electronic signature; what was removed, and where it was before; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification; and your name, address and phone number, with a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, outside the United States, of any judicial district where Neatifai may be found), and that you’ll accept service of process from the person who sent the notice. We’ll send them a copy, and may restore what was removed in 10 to 14 business days, unless they tell us they’ve gone to court.
Repeat infringers
In appropriate circumstances, Neatifai closes the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe others’ copyrights.
Ending
You can stop using Stewbot at any time, and delete your account in its Settings, which deletes everything in it right away, as the privacy policy says. If we ever shut Stewbot down, we’ll tell you at least 30 days before.
The App Store
Stewbot’s app is also licensed to you under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement, and purchases in the App Store follow Apple’s terms. Apple isn’t responsible for Stewbot or for supporting it.
No warranties
Stewbot is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any warranty that it’s fit for a particular purpose, merchantable, accurate, safe, secure or free of errors, that it won’t be interrupted, or that it doesn’t infringe anyone’s rights, as far as the law allows.
Limits on liability
As far as the law allows, Neatifai LLC won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or opportunities, even if told they might happen. Our total liability for any claim about Stewbot is limited to the greater of $50 or what you paid for Stewbot Plus in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
If someone brings a claim against Neatifai because you broke these terms or the law, or because of something you saved in Stewbot, you’ll cover our reasonable costs from it, as far as the law allows.
Law and disputes
If something goes wrong, email support@stewbot.app first: most problems are solved that way. Illinois law governs these terms, apart from its rules about which law applies. Any dispute about Stewbot will be settled in the state or federal courts in Illinois, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction. If the law where you live gives you rights these terms can’t take away, you keep them.
Changes
We may update these terms. The new version is posted here with a new date, and if a change matters, we’ll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using Stewbot after that, the new terms apply to you. If you don’t agree with them, you can stop using Stewbot and delete your account.
Everything else
These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and Neatifai about Stewbot. If part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. If they end, the parts meant to last, such as the limits on liability and the law that applies, still apply. If we don’t enforce something straight away, we haven’t given up the right to. You can’t transfer these terms to someone else; we can, if Stewbot moves to another company.
