Stuck, or found something that isn’t right? Email support@stewbot.app. A person reads every email, and we answer as soon as we can.
It helps to say what you were doing, which iPhone or iPad you have and its iOS version (Settings, General, About), and Stewbot’s version, which is at the bottom of Stewbot’s Settings.
Signing in
My code didn’t come
Look in your junk or spam folder for an email from Stewbot, from no-reply@stewbot.app. A code works for 5 minutes, so if it’s run out, send a new one.
I hid my email when I signed in with Apple
That’s fine: Apple forwards Stewbot’s emails to you. If you write to support about your account, say that you signed in with Apple.
Saving recipes
Saving from Safari
Open the recipe in Safari, tap Share, then Stewbot, then Save to cookbook. The first time, Stewbot may be under More in the share sheet’s row of apps.
“That site didn’t let Stewbot read the page”
Some sites turn away anything that isn’t a web browser. Open the page in Safari and share it to Stewbot from there, or paste the recipe’s text instead.
Why did a recipe save as just a link?
Pages written for subscribers, and sites that asked, keep just their name and link. You can still cook them with Cook now: open the page in Safari, tap Share, Stewbot, then Cook now. Stewbot walks you through it and keeps nothing.
A recipe from a cookbook or a card
In Stewbot, tap Add a recipe, then Take a photo. Stewbot uses the photo only to read the recipe, and doesn’t keep it.
AI help
Stewbot asks before it uses AI. To change your answer, go to Settings, AI help. With it off, you can still save links and type recipes in as written, and cook from them. The privacy policy says what Stewbot sends, and to whom.
Cooking
Timers that ring on silent
On iOS 26 and later, allow Stewbot’s alarms when it asks, and timers ring even on silent or with your phone locked. Otherwise, allow notifications. You can change this in Stewbot’s Settings, Timer alerts.
Hands-free
Turn on reading aloud and voice commands in Settings or in Before you start. In cooking mode, the microphone beside Ask Stewbot starts listening for “next”, “back” and “repeat”. Your voice is heard on your device, and the sound never leaves it.
Stewbot Plus
Cancelling
In your device’s Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Stewbot, at least 24 hours before it renews. Or, in Stewbot, go to Settings, your plan, then Manage subscription.
A refund
Apple handles refunds for anything bought in the App Store. Ask at reportaproblem.apple.com.
A new device, or a new account
Sign in, then tap Restore purchases on Stewbot Plus’s page or in your plan, in Settings.
Your account
Deleting your account
Go to Settings, Delete account. It deletes your account and everything in it right away, and can’t be undone. Stewbot Plus is billed by Apple, so cancel it there too.
Your privacy
The privacy policy says what Stewbot keeps and for how long. For a copy of your information, or anything else, email us.
