Consumer health data policy
Some states’ laws, such as Washington’s My Health My Data Act, protect “consumer health data”: information that could say something about your health. Stewbot isn’t a health app, and it never asks about your health. But a few things you tell it could say something about it, so this policy says what they are and how Stewbot handles them. The privacy policy covers everything else.
What it could be
- What you ask Make me something to avoid, such as nuts, gluten or shellfish, which could point to a food allergy or another health condition.
- Anything about your health you choose to write in a question while cooking, in a recipe or in its notes, such as “I can’t have dairy”.
Stewbot doesn’t collect health records, and it doesn’t try to work out anything about your health.
Why Stewbot uses it
Only to do what you asked: to make an idea without what you want to avoid, and remind you to check labels; to answer your question; and to keep your cookbook. It’s never used for ads, and never sold.
Where it goes
-
What you ask Make me something to avoid
Goes with your request to Anthropic, which makes the idea, and isn’t kept by Stewbot’s server. Your iPhone or iPad remembers it for next time, until you sign out. If you save the idea, its notes say what it was made without, such as “Made without nuts”, in your private cookbook.
-
Your questions while cooking
Go to Anthropic to be answered, and aren’t kept by Stewbot’s server.
-
Your recipes and notes
Stay in your private cookbook, which Cloudflare stores for Stewbot. When you ask, a recipe goes to Anthropic to be broken down or cooked with help. Your own notes don’t.
Anthropic doesn’t train its models on what Stewbot sends, and deletes it within 30 days, or up to 2 years if its safety systems flag it. Anthropic and Cloudflare handle it only for Stewbot, under their agreements with Neatifai. Stewbot shares consumer health data with no one else, and never sells it.
Your rights
- See it: everything you’ve saved is in the app.
- Delete it: edit a recipe’s notes, delete the recipe, change what Make me something avoids the next time it asks, sign out to clear what your device remembers, or delete your account.
- Stop sending it: turn AI help off in Settings, and Stewbot sends nothing to Anthropic.
- Ask: what Stewbot has about you, who it went to, for a copy, or for any of it to be deleted, at support@stewbot.app. We answer within 45 days. If we turn a request down, reply to appeal, and we’ll answer the appeal within 45 days too.
